POETRY – RHYME

My Generation:

Helter skelter heaven, an irrepressible age,
For sweet seventeen, is life without fear.
With boundless energy, from the fountain stage,
Of an unknowing mind, in a sexual steer.

A vacuum of experience, with a weather cock drive,
A migratory instinct and impressionable nature.
A reactionary rebel and longing to jive,
Against continual commands, in a life without stature.

The need for a sage, with respect and knowledge,
Is of paramount importance, to avoid constant glamour.
To learn our lessons, in a reputable college,
So as not to incur debt, to life in modern clamor.
