Eastern Fault Line:

Wesak ninety eight, India big bang,
New Age Hindu, in black shirt.
Populist politics, Asian thread hang,
The Light of Asia, soiled in dirt.

Indus valley schism, Islam reacts,
In Imperial division, classical lesson line.
Fundamental religion, paradox to relax,
To profane the sacred, will incur a fine.

Indus source vibrates, response of Mother Earth,
Afghan earthquake, three thousand gone.
Seven days, ten bangs, dark and dearth,
Man’s abuse of power, dark, dangerous and wrong.
