POETRY – RHYME

Marine Ostrich:

Roadside open boat, a ticket to pry,
Ostrich pose dance, motionless head buried.
Strategic location, stance of a spy,
Pattern of training, obvious and hurried.

My shadow to a visit, never a miss,
The manic marine monitor, always there.
Rain, shine or frost, the car-park hiss,
Of forked tongued acquaintance, ever in the air.

A friendly gesture, a smile, a nod and a wink,
A jovial greeting, an incisive retort.
A reticent manner, know not what to think,
A rogue player, in a non participant sport.
