POETRY - LOVE
Sirens;
All around me, enticing and then slipping away, feeding off and building my desires.
Wow, a man could go crazy to play this game, dangling on a string
Of their desire, to and fro, at the whims of the passing, beckoning forth.
What a lesson, that gives this perspective and understanding, but still
I can not have what I would like, or can I and this is but hesitation
Upon the twin horns of my desire and fear, am I but paralysed
As a mouse, before the gaping jaws of it’s nemesis, or is it discerning wisdom
That checks the flight forward, until balance and perspective is attained.
